The BCA Dozer 2TH shovel is the granddaddy of BCA’s avalanche shovel line, with a patented “hoe mode” to provide added efficiency when paddling large chunks of avalanche debris without lifting. The BCA Dozer 2H shovel is a slightly bigger version than the Dozer 1T shovel, with a wider blade dimension for providing even more surface area to dig with. The Dozer 2H features an ovo-concave shafts and low profile “stompable” blades. You can penetrate any kind of snow condition with this shovel by just adding some extra body weight and force from your arms and hands. This shovel was designed and field tested in the toughest conditions, specifically avalanche debris and chunder which are impenetrable to most other shovels. With that being said, all BCA shovels are manufactured to meet all UIAA standards of safety. Auto engaging spring pins at the blade/shaft connection make for faster, hands- free assembly and deployment. The BCA Dozer 2H lies flat in your pack and stays that way, leaving more room for all of your other gear that you need for a successful backcountry excursion.
